Hello there everyone!
Thank you so much to everyone who was able to join us for our February meeting. We had a great turn out and a great time. The Double-Framed Lace square seemed to be a pattern that everyone enjoyed working on.
I would like to send out a special thank you to Karen Gardner, Graham Cullen, and the Frederick News Post for coming to our February meeting to do a story on us. I am pleased to say that the article was fantastic and mentioned a number of the members who were present. I have also received numerous calls from folks in Frederick interested in coming to our meetings because of the article. I say, the more the merrier! Spring is in the air! I hope everyone is enjoying crocheting as the warmer weather begins to approach. I encourage everyone to explore different techniques in crochet. I have recently began playing around with tapestry crochet and bosnian crochet. These are simple techniques using stitches and skills most crocheters already know. I will be bringing samples of both styles to share and hope that if you see an interesting technique or style of crochet that you will share with the group.
